Pride and Prejudice was my first Austen novel, and I'm pretty sure it was the first "grown-up" romance I ever read. I loved Lizzie - a snarky, bookish heroine who was taking none of Darcy's shit. I loved how they both learned and grew from their experiences and became better people for it. P&P sparked an obsession with all things Austen - books, movies, BBC adaptations...I even collect different editions of Austen's novels!⠀
