little fires everywhere | week 12 wrap up
🔥
Is there a more appropriate metaphor for this week? It feels like the world's on fire. Schools are closed indefinitely and we're in a holding pattern as we wait to see what the pandemic brings next. In spite of not getting much reading done those first few days - too much anxious energy - I managed to finish two different books this week: Heartburn by Nora Ephron, and Highfire by Eoin Colfer, two books which couldn't be more different. I also watched the first three episodes of little fires everywhere, and I have THOUGHTS. Message me if you have also read the book and seen the show. I want to discuss!
🔥
I've never been more grateful for this platform than I have been this week. I've gotten to see John Legend sing, Jennifer Ehle read Pride and Prejudice, and connect with #bookstagram in a way I never expected. In the midst of a LOT of uncertainty, I'm thankful for all of you. And books. Especially books.

Let me know what you've been reading (or watching) this week.
