For Everyone by Jason Reynolds

The more of Jason Reynolds' work I read, the more I want to read. I use his commencement speech to teach rhetoric, display his words on my classroom wall, rave about his novel in verse, Long Way Down, and can't stop talking about his YA adaptation of Ibram X. Kendi's Stamped From the Beginning. So when I saw For Everyone when I was out shopping last weekend, I knew I had to have it. For Everyone is a poem, a letter, a question and an answer. It's about dreams, and creating, and believing and doubting. It's about success and failure. This quick read is one I will return to again and again, but would also make a great gift for graduates or everyone, really (😂) who is growing and changing.
