Love Letters of Great Women
It's Women's History Month, and Love Letters of Great Women by Ursula Doyle was a fantastic choice. This collection includes letters I expected (Abigail Adams to John Adams, for example), but also letters that surprised me, like:
•beseeching letters from Anne Boleyn to Henry VIII
•platonic letters from Emily Dickinson to her best friend and sister in law, Susan
•fascinating letters from Katherine Mansfield to her husband (written while in Paris with her lover)
•icy letters to romantic rivals

Some are romantic, some funny, some sexy, some sad. There's a little bit of everything in this collection, and I very much enjoyed flipping through it.
