The Mystery at Lilac Inn by Carolyn Keene

For this month's #NancyDrewBookCrew read, The Mystery at Lilac Inn, I decided to listen to the audiobook, narrated by Laura Linney! I highly recommend the audio as it heightened my reading experience, in large part because of the sound effects. This may be my favorite mystery yet! There's diamonds, there's doppelgangers...what's not to love? I enjoyed learning about lilacs, skin diving (think scuba diving but without the oxygen), and charge plates (credit cards before there were credit cards). As usual, Nancy's life is populated with darling friends, daring escapes, and circumstances only Nancy can puzzle out. I also LOVED the last line. When Nancy's friends express concern that she might feel left out of their talk about their partners, Nancy laughs and replies "Not at all.
