pandemic panic // week 11 wrap up
📺
This week has felt like a lifetime. It was full of unexpected meetings, changes, and stressors, all stemming from preventative measures in addressing the coronavirus. School has yet to close in my area, which is causing additional stress for many, and our upcoming field trip was cancelled, which was disappointing. I was supposed to work my second job today, but that was cancelled, too. There's an overall increase in anxiety for sure. I'm looking forward, this weekend, to taking a break from it all. I'm hoping to read lots, grade even more, and tackle whatever comes next week when it gets here!
📺
I've seen so many posts the last few days encouraging positivity to combat all the nervous energy we're experiencing, and I love it! One of the things helping me are ambient/ASMR rooms. For those not in the know, there are entire channels on YouTube dedicated to "rooms" with all kinds of images and background sounds - think the best kind of white noise. I like the tea room pictured, but my favorite is called Ancient Library Room, which has stormy weather! 😍 I love having it on in the background for reading, but I can see these being great for studying, working at home, or even as white noise when falling asleep. What cozy thing is feeding your heart this week? I'd love to know!
