A Good Girl's Guide to Murder by Holly Jackson
Thanks to @librofm and @prhaudio for this ALC! A Good Girl's Guide to Murder by Holly Jackson was so much fun to read. I kept describing it as having Veronica Mars vibes, and it's so true. Pip is a high school student investigating the murder of hometown sweetheart Andie Bell, under the guise of her senior capstone project. In the process, Pip finds an ally in the brother of the Andie's boyfriend Sal, the person blamed for Andie's murder, and they work to uncover who Andie really was - and who was responsible for her death. There's family, there's friendships, there's murder boards! What's not to love? This book had unexpected twists, even for me (and I'm always figuring things out). I always listen to audiobooks a little at a time, but I kept finding excuses to listen to this one: cooking, folding Laundry Mountain™, and for that last 10% just laying in bed listening because I HAD to find out what happened. If you enjoyed Veronica Mars (before the Hulu series destroyed your hopes and dreams), if you're a #murderino, if you're a lover of true crime, look no further - this is it! The sequel to A Good Girl's Guide to Murder, Good Girl, Bad Blood, is already in the works and I couldn't be more excited!
