Is it wrong to say that the thing I love most about this book is the cover? šŸ™ˆ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Say You Still Love Me is the third K.A. Tucker I’ve felt just meh about, and I’ve come to realize that while she has an ardent readership, I’m not among them - and that’s okay! I think sometimes we forget that every book doesn’t work for everyone. I know there are a lot of people out there that will enjoy this read, so let’s get into it. SYSLM is a second chance romance following Piper and Kyle, who fall hard and fast for each other at summer camp, only to be torn apart by circumstances beyond their control. Told in alternating chapters between the past and present, we follow them both during their initial relationship and their opportunity to reunite again as adults. The story deals with the effects of status and wealth on a relationship, and features a character with incarcerated family members, which is not something I’ve seen a lot of in romance. Ultimately, this confirmed for me that I just don’t enjoy reading second chance romances: I think there’s too much ground that has to be covered and I struggle to get invested in the relationship. That said, the storyline reminded me a lot of Once in a Blue Moon by Christina Lauren, so if you enjoyed that, this one might be for you! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ID: A paperback copy of Say You Still Love Me sits on a white shelf. I’m touching the cover with my hand. My nails are, for once, unpainted. via Instagram https://instagr.am/p/CP5qDoKLh-L/
