The Happy Ever After Playlist by Abby Jimenez begins with a true rom-com meet cute, which I could not love more! After Sloane unexpectedly ends up caring for Jason’s dog, Tucker, the two find themselves drawn together against Sloane’s better judgement. Jason is a swoony musician who falls hard and fast for Sloane, but Sloane isn’t sure she’s ready to move on in the aftermath of her fiancé’s death. The book deals with grief, but also with the price of fame, the brutal demands of touring and making a record, and with finding love after loss.
