Happy Pub Day to A Brush with Love by Mazey Eddings, out today! 🍾 Thanks to @macmillan.audio for an advance copy of this book for review. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ As someone who suffers from secondhand embarrassment, I felt immediately CRINGE at the antics and innuendos (So. Many. Dental. Innuendos.) of this book, but I was also immediately invested! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I loved Harper from page one: her relationships with her friends and her resistance to vulnerability were things I deeply relate to. Dan, of course, is adorable and also relatable, with his desire for approval and his feeing that he’s doing life wrong, somehow. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ This romance has friendship and family and Jewish rep and mental health rep and holds space for grief and loss so skillfully. I’m already looking forward to picking up whatever Eddings writes next! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ “I’m wrecked.” 😭😭😭 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ CW: grief (loss of a parent), car accident, generalized anxiety disorder, claustrophobia, estranged parental relationship. There’s a reader’s note about triggering content at the start of the book! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ID: A kindle displaying the ebook cover of A Brush with Love sits on a white shelf. I’m reaching out to touch the kindle with one hand. via Instagram https://instagr.am/p/CakFXwRrT-B/
