A Duke to Remember by Kelly Bowen is book two in the Season for Scandal series and my favorite of the three. Elise is an actress/spy/tracker and Noah is her target!!! I will simply expire from the premise and the banter. Noah’s neurodivergent and both of these characters have experienced trauma and they just understand each other so beautifully. This one is the toughest emotionally because the characters have been through SO MUCH but they are SO SWEET and gone for each other I just wanna squish their faces. CW: institutionalization, murder, mention of sexual assault Between the Devil and the Duke by Kelly Bowen is book three in the Season for Scandal series and follows Angelina and Alex: He’s a soldier/spy/assassin/club owner and she’s a brilliant card sharp fleecing everyone at his club! He immediately is like — HER, which is fair because who wouldn’t immediately be intrigued by a lady in the streets, a genius in the spreadsheets?! These books would make a great intro to historical romance for those who feel intimidated by the language because they’re very accessible. Again the premise of this series is SO FUN and while I’m a little disappointed there isn’t a book for King (IYKYK), I’m so grateful to Ali for recommending this series!
