Today's #ThrowbookThursday is one I can't believe I've never talked about it before!!! • Spoiler Alert: The Hero Dies by Michael Ausiello is [✓] a memoir [✓] a love story [✓] hilarious [✓] by someone who may actually love TV more than me • So it basically ticks all the boxes for me. After no research whatsoever, I'm estimating that I have been reading Michael Ausiello's writing since high school(?!) when I read his TV commentary and episode recaps on The Ausiello Report and later, TVLine and EW. Spoiler Alert: The Hero Dies is beautiful and funny and, as implied by the title, soul-crushingly heartbreaking. In it, Ausiello tells the story of his thirteen year relationship with his partner, photographer Kit Cowan, who passed away after a battle with cancer.
