I haven’t yet finished Emily Wilson’s translation of the Odyssey, but I’m enjoying it so far! My students this semester really wanted to talk about the portrayal of women in the Odyssey, so we read her essay “A Translator’s Reckoning with the Women of the Odyssey” and they had some awesome insights. In spite of the last hellish year, the kids are alright.
