Thanks to @librofm for the audiobook of Our Wives Under the Sea by Julia Armfield, which has been on my TBR for entirely too long! Unsettling, atmospheric, and delightfully weird, this story follows Miri and Leah in the aftermath of Leah’s deep sea mission — where it becomes apparent that the mission isn’t the only thing that’s gone awry. An exploration of caregiving, grief, and loss, as well as how we react in the face of change, I couldn’t stop listening (narrators Annabel Baldwin and Robyn Holdaway are great) and I couldn’t stop thinking about it once I finished.
