It’s been nearly a decade since I last picked up a Ruth Ware novel (In a Dark, Dark Wood), but my book club’s pick for the month of April changed that. One by One is a whodunit that centers on a cutthroat company’s corporate retreat at a remote ski chalet where everyone’s got an agenda, and when murders start happening, no one can be trusted. I sped through this one in record time both because I left it till the literal last minute, and because the short alternating POV chapters really give you momentum. Our book club felt there could have been better refinement of certain elements, but we found it to be a fun, if not particularly memorable, read. 📸: A hardback copy of One by One lays on a white blanket. via Instagram https://instagr.am/p/DJJu6P4Am-A/
