Worth Any Price by Lisa Kleypas is the third and final book in the Bow Street Runners series. This review may contain spoilers for previous books. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Nick has a traumatic past. Lottie is a badass. Both of them have difficulty trusting others, and end up entering a marriage of convenience. What could possibly go wrong?! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I was super surprised by Westcliff’s appearance in this book — I shouldn’t have been: Kleypas loves a crossover! — and I think I would have enjoyed his book (It Happened One Autumn) even more if I had read this one first! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Finishing my least favorite Kleypas series came on the heels of finishing my favorite series of hers (The Hathaways) so I was bound to have feelings of inadequacy. I’ve got a duology of hers on my TBR, but beyond that I think I’ll devote my energy to recommending her more recent series to others rather than trying to read her entire backlist! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ CW: grooming, sexual abuse, stalking, attempted sexual assault, prison, death, suicide, sexual content ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ID: I’m holding a mass market paperback copy of Worth Any Price with one hand so that you can see my manicure, which is lavender and coordinates with the book cover. via Instagram https://instagr.am/p/CfocPWxL8ww/
